Our principal and staff
Message from the principal
Dorchester Education and Training Unit delivers exceptional academic and social learning programs for students at the Reiby Juvenile Justice Centre. Our diverse range of programs and facilities empowers students to achieve success in their education, vocational training, personal development, and social integration.
We have seen remarkable progress in student engagement, leading to improved learning outcomes. This success is a direct result of the continuous evolution of our Learning and Achievement Framework, which has provided a strong foundation for transformative learning experiences. Our dedicated staff have designed and implemented innovative academic, social, and technology-driven programs across all faculties, ensuring students remain engaged and motivated.
Throughout the year, students also participated in various TAFE and vocational courses alongside school-based initiatives that strengthened their cultural connections, fostered independent living skills, and reinforced values of respect and responsibility.
These achievements were made possible through the commitment and collaboration of our teachers, school learning support officers, Youth Justice staff, and community partners. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to our entire school community for their dedication to making a lasting impact on our students' lives.
